ELEVENTH

Accounts & Organisations

Understand the difference between your personal Account and the Organisation (Supplier, Venue, Agency) it can belong to.

Account

Your account is your personal identity on Eleventh — one email, one login. It exists independently of any business and stays with you even if you're part of several organisations or leave one.

Oranisations

An organisation is the business entity — a Supplier, a Venue, or an Agency. Organisations, not accounts, own everything: bookings, quotes, documents, chats. This matters because:

  • Resources stay with the organisation even if a member leaves
  • Cross-organisation visibility is denied by default — one organisation cannot see another's data
  • Billing, subscriptions, and Eleventh Payments accounts belong to the organisation, not the individual.

How They Connect

An account can be a member of multiple organisations, each with its own role. For example: You could be the Owner of your own DJ Business and also a Manager at a venue you help run — same account, two organisation memberships, switchable from your account menu.

Customers Are Different

Customers don't join the organisation at all. They interact with bookings directly via a magic link (no login needed) or a lightweight customer account — they're never a "member" int eh organisational sense.

Why This Split Exists

If you ever leave an organisation, transfer ownership, or add team members, nothing about your bookings elsehwere is affected — because none of it was ever tied to your account in the first place. It's tied to the organisation.
